Mental Health “Picture Perfect” Program: Painting Your Emotions
Picture Perfect is a creative mental-health wellness program designed to help individuals explore, understand, and express their emotions through the healing power of art. This guided painting experience uses colors, shapes, textures, and imagery to provide a safe outlet for feelings that may be difficult to put into words. Through hands-on activities led by trained facilitators, participants learn to connect with their inner world, release built-up stress, and discover new pathways to emotional clarity. Merrill Crisis Center
Program Type: Crisis
To Make Referrals: WALK-INS WELCOME. Individuals in crisis can access CSU services on their own or by referral. Referrals to the Merrill Center will be accepted from the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) outpatient clinics, full-service partnerships (FSP), DBH Community Crisis Response Teams (CCRTs), law enforcement and first responders, hospital emergency rooms, mental health assessment teams, and other county medical clinics and departments.

About the Program: The Merrill Center is a short-stay crisis stabilization unit (CSU) that offers 24/7 services to adults and youth. The Merrill Center aims to increase access to crisis services, reduce inpatient hospitalization, reduce the amount of time that law enforcement is involved in a mental health crisis, and strengthen the existing outpatient behavioral health services.

Kinship Care Program
The Kinship Care Program serves grandparents raising their grandchildren when their parents cannot. They often live on a fixed income or limited income and suddenly face the full financial responsibility of raising a child, leaving them forced to choose between food, rent, utilities and or medical bills. Without support these families face housing instability and food insecurities. Funding will provide emergency assistance for basic food needs.
